How to Make Traditional Cake
TARIPANG OR TERIPANG
Sometimes people need to consume
something sweet as a snack, therefore Taripang Cake is one of the solution. Taripang
cake is one of buginese traditional cake which is famous with its sweet taste. The
name of the cake is inspired by the name of sea animal because there is
similiarity shapes. To make delicious Teripang all you need are:
¾ of teaspoon salt
200 ml of Thick coconut milk
250 gr of glutinus flout
Delicate and already shredded
coconut
700 gram Cooking oil
The ingredients of the outer part
of teripang surface are:
200 gr of brown sugar
Water
1 sheet of Pandan leaves
½ teaspoon of Vanilla powder
It is very easy to make this
traditional cake. First, glutinus flout is mixed with shredded coconut and salt
until the dough is lumpy, then add coconut milk little by little while the
dough is knead. After the dough is mixed well and easily formed, take some of
the dough about one handfuls and make it looks like teripang shapes. The shape is it not too big or not too small. After
that fry teripang.
Second, getting ready with the outer
bed of teripang by mixing the brown sugar, water, vanilla powder and pandan
leaves then stew it until the brown sugar is melt and thicken. Mix the brown
sugar liquid and Teripang that is already fried until the outside surface of
teripang is full of brown sugar.
